Working principle of Automatic and Valveless Gravity Sand Filter

Integrated Tap Water Treatment Plant are all without valve, automatic operation by hydraulic action, low operating cost, convenient management, safety automation, equipment integration, assembly of water tank, filter, backwashing tank and so on. The structure is compact, and the user only needs to be the base of equipment. It can be put into operation when the pipe is connected in and out. At the same time, the filter series of products are equipped with top cover, good protection conditions, can be set up in the open.

The raw water is entered into the filter through the distribution tank and filtered from top to bottom. As the filter layer keeps the suspended matter in the influent, the head loss of the filter layer increases gradually, causing the water level in siphon to rise. When the water level rises into the water ejector in the siphon auxiliary pipe, the air in the siphon is taken away by hydraulic action to form negative pressure. When the negative pressure reaches the design value, the siphon phenomenon occurs, and the water in the tank is washed back from bottom to top to be "regenerated". Due to constant backwashing of the filter layer, when the water level in the water tank drops to the specified value, the siphon effect is destroyed and the backwash is finished, and the filtering device starts working again.

Application

Integrated Tap Water Treatment Plant is mainly suitable for all kinds of surface water purification treatment. The turbidity is less than 3000 ml/L to supply domestic water or industrial water, and the industrial wastewater such as cooling water, mine water and circulating water can be reused to improve the reuse rate of water.

Equipment characteristics

1. When used for filtration of water treatment, the suspended solids should be less than 15mg/l and the suspended solids of the effluent should be less than 3mg/l.

2. When used for circulating cooling water treatment, the suspended solids are generally 15 to 30mg/l, and the suspended solids of the effluent are less than 5mg/l.

3. When used for coagulant treatment, the suspended solids are 50 to 100mg/l and the suspended solids of the effluent are less than 5mg/l.
